UNLOCKING YOUTH POTENTIAL

WHAT WE DO

  • We believe in providing practical and positive solutions for our rangatahi. Our team of experienced kaiako work with rangatahi to develop leadership skills and explore their interests through our carefully designed and created programs. Our programs are built on the foundations of Te Whare Tapa Wha, with an emphasis on physical and mental wellbeing. We strive to help our rangatahi develop a strong sense of self and a positive outlook on their future.

  • We offer alternative education courses and work with rangatahi of all ages to expose them to future careers and passions. We provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to be workforce ready. Our focus is on helping young people find a career that they will enjoy and that will provide them with a stable and fulfilling future.

  • We believe that mentoring is a crucial part of youth development. Our team of experienced kaiako provide one-on-one mentoring to rangatahi. We work closely with these young people to help them identify their strengths and weaknesses, set goals, and provide them with the support they need to achieve their goals.

  • We offer a range of teaching programmes that are designed to help troubled youth learn new skills and explore their interests. Our teaching programmes are delivered by experienced professionals who are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.

  • We offer consulting services to Government Agencies and Schools on how to manage troubled youth in their communities or places of work. Our team of experts provides advice and guidance on how to support these young people through a cultural lens.

WAIRUA FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

Take a look at our last Foundation programme where we took young rangatahi with immense potential through a two week leadership course. Our purpose was to expose these individually selected boys to a new passion, career or hobby that they could then use to develop their character and mana. Along the way these boys were challenged physically and mentally but were also taught effective strategies and techniques on how to become responsible young men. They were able to reconnect with their culture but most of all, connect with their peers in a positive and uplifting way. The boys learnt how to set goals and push themselves further physically and mentally than they have ever been before. They started our programme as boys but left confident young men.
